Big Top At a Glance - Logistics - Sanitation - Food Service Cole Bros. Circus provides quality entertainment for the entire family. Parents, grandparents, and children equally enjoy the Circus, laughing at the clowns, marveling at feats of daring performed on the flying trapeze, and gazing in wonder at the expertise, grace and skill and exhibited by circus artists from three continents. Proving true the adage that “The Circus is for children of all ages,” Cole Bros. Circus attendance records demonstrate a ratio of one adult to one child! Striving to produce the finest three-ring Circus under the Big Top in an amiable and courteous atmosphere, Cole Bros. Circus invites the families of your community to join our Circus Family at our performances. We conduct the Circus as a responsible member of the local business community during our stay in your town. Cole Bros. Circus' innovative Crimson and Gold Big Top measures 136 feet wide by 231 feet long. Under the Big Top, four bleacher seat wagons accommodate 960 patrons, and multi-level VIP and reserved chairs seat 1,924 Circus Tent-Raising, open to the public free of charge, takes place on the morning of opening day. At noon, the Circus is ready for inspection by local officials. Typically, the Circus presents matinee and early evening performances Mondays through Saturdays, and two matinee performances on Sundays. Evening performances conclude no later than 9:30 p.m. Allowing adequate time for patrons to return to their vehicles and exit the show grounds, all is quiet on the circus grounds by 10:00 p.m. Trained personnel monitor safety in the Big Top and on the show grounds. Chemical and pressurized water fire extinguishers are placed in the Circus Big Top area; safety equipment is also found in all show vehicles, including the electrical generator trailer. "No smoking" is imprinted on the top of the interior of the sidewall surrounding the tent, where absolutely no smoking is permitted. Circus staff members continuously monitor the cleanliness of the interior of the tent and the show grounds during the engagement, and make a thorough final cleanup of the grounds prior to the Circus' departure. Refuse is placed in dumpsters provided by a local sanitation contractor. Absolutely
no mechanical rides or games of chance are operated by or in conjunction

11 VEHICLES: SAFETY: AREA REQUIREMENTS: PUBLIC RESTROOMS The Circus carries eleven portable, self-contained restrooms for use by the public, with five units designated for men, five units for women, and one unit reserved for people with disabilities. The Circus contracts with a local company to have the restroom units emptied and cleaned daily. RV UNITS HOUSING CIRCUS PERFORMERS AND STAFF All units housing staff and performers are fully self-contained, with sufficiently large gray water and black water holding tanks. RV Unit owners properly dispose of waste from holding tanks using the sanitation company contracted by Circus, or designated "dump stations" en route. GARBAGE/TRASH REMOVAL The Circus or its local sponsor contracts with a local dumpster company to provide a minimum of two 20-yard dumpsters for collection and removal of refuse from the show grounds. Circus personnel collect garbage in plastic bags, depositing bagged garbage in one dumpster. Animal workers place used animal bedding (hay or shavings) and animal manure in the second dumpster. Striving to maintain a first-class appearance both inside and outside the circus Big Top, employees police the tent area and show grounds between performances. A final cleaning of the show grounds follows the last performance of the engagement, with workers bagging and placing in the dumpster any trash, such as soda cups or popcorn boxes, that patrons may have dropped. Products, Cole Bros. Circus Concession Department purchases Hot Dogs and buns from a local grocery store, and contracts with a local ice company for bagged ice. The concession staff prepares food and drink items in Cole's self-contained concession semi-trailer, which is equipped with stainless steel sinks and a separate hand washing station. The Circus fills its water truck with water obtained from an approved local source, and supplies the water to the concession trailer.
