During
the Circus's annual eight month, 115 city tour across the eastern
United States, this "city that moves by night" travels
an average of 10,000 miles and performs a minimum of two performances
daily, seven days a week.
You may
find the Big Top raised on the parking lot of your favorite
shopping mall or presented in your community as a fund-raiser
for a local civic group. The Circus is also often presented
by media organizations, academic institutions, and major corporations
for community causes or annual employee events. And on special
occasions, the Circus has even provided its unique setting as
a perfect stage for gala circus-themed black tie affairs for
a variety of charities.
Regardless
of where you attend a performance of Cole Bros. Circus, one
thing is certain - that the show is still on the road and continues
to delight a new generation of American children is proof that
interest in the Circus Under the Big Top is as great as ever
!In almost
every community across the U.S. you will find at least one devoted
circus enthusiast. Some collect antique circus memorabilia.
Others are builders of models and miniature-scale circuses of
their own. Still others study circus history or catalog circus
music for the ages. All are hobbyists who share a commitment
to the Circus, celebrating and preserving its past while helping
to ensure its future by pledging "to fight anything that
fights the Circus." For those who live and travel on the
show, these friendly and familiar faces in each new town help
brighten their days.
